Clarification

Hello, Guro Here!
In case some people don't realize it.

Me and Clown+Smoggy are translating the Web Novel of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken.
While OverTheRanbow-san and Avert-san from Moon Bunny Cafe are translating the LIGHT NOVEL of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken.

Please don't mixed the two of it.
Because LN and WN have differences between the two version.
So, Please don't post nasty comments there.

  1. What are the main differences between? Is it just in wording and minor plot, or is it a major shift?

    1. Onnichanyamete mentioned at the link below that there's more time for other characters and more Shizu-san.

  3. The problem is that the people who keep pointing out "Uuuhhhnnnnn! Why you do this? The others are already translating chapter 1234 of the series!" are also the people who don't read anything except the most recent chapters.

Translator notes? News? Who cares... There is a new chapter at Guro's, so why are you translating the series as well ~( -_-)~

  11. I actually thought you guys were translating the LN because clown keeps posting the illustrations from the LN. way to make it confusing... oh well, not like I read the raws :P

there are still people that don't know the difference between WN and LN?

Web Novel(WN) is the first draft
Light Novels(LN) is the published final draft
LNs is where the author, having heard fan feedback has the chance to make any changes or fix mistakes they made in their intial WN release. Differences can be minor, or major as in whole new arcs may be added or less popular, uneeded, or controversial arcs may get shortened or even removed. Tate no Yuusha is a good example. there are a lot of differences, so much so its practically a whole different story. The ending to the WN was hated so much that the author completely changed how it ends in the LN version to appease his fans.

    1. That becauseint the tate original WN ending, it is not really an ending, it the closure where the author say I leave it to your imagination kind of ending. Not really good ending (quite bad exactly) for the great work. Kinda understand why the fan is mad.

  12. I don't really understand why people complain at a translator that someone else is translating it. I understand commenting something regarding a series they are doing they are more interested in (although that DOES irritate me too, I just don't click on series I'm not interested in... *Secret Technique*), but to actually complain or rant at someone that's tling doesn't make sense to me.

Then again I also get the feeling that they are just trolls and not there to read anything, but to complain and cause trouble.
